ASUS has introduced two new Chromebooks to the family of Chrome OS laptops powered by the latest Intel Bay Trail-M processors. Available in two screen sizes — the 11.6-inch C200 model and 13.3-inch C300 — ASUS Chromebooks are designed for mobility and offer up to 10 hours of battery life for all-day use. Additionally, both laptops include a 720p HD front-facing webcam, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
Featured in both models, the ASUS design has a hidden screen hinge, durable matte-finish cover, and a full-size one-piece seamless chiclet keyboard. The ASUS Chromebook C200 has a compact chassis that weighs 2.5 lbs and just .78 of an inch (20mm), making it portable.
The laptops are connected with up to ultra-fast 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. A USB 2.0 port is provided, as well as a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port, and a HDMI-out port.
The ASUS Chromebook C200 and C300 will begin shipping in the US at the end of June 2014 with a starting price at $249.99.
