Cloud-connected security and storage solutions provider Barracuda Networks Inc. has achieved VMware Ready status for Barracuda Backup after a validation process through the VMware Ready program.
The VMware Ready program is a co-branding benefit of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program for customers to identify partner products certified to work with VMware cloud infrastructure. Customers can use these products and solutions to lower project risks and realize cost savings over custom-built solutions.†
By using Barracuda Backup with VMware vSphere 5.0.x, businesses can reduce downtime by quickly booting critical VMs in the Barracuda Cloud should their primary servers or storage fail. This combination delivers low-cost, rapid recovery directly from deduplicated backups without any special configuration.†
“We are pleased that Barracuda Backup qualifies for the VMware Ready logo, signifying to customers that it works effectively with VMware vSphere, and can be deployed in production with confidence,” says Sanjay Katyal, vice president, global alliances and OEMs, VMware.
