Patton Electronics, U.S. manufacturer of SmartNode VoIP solutions,†BODI†rS High Availability Fixed & Mobile Routers, and†CopperLink Ethernet Extenders, is now shipping the new SmartNode Open Gateway Appliance (SNOGA), offering customized, IP-based, businesses communications for 2 to 128 concurrent voice or fax calls.
SNOGA open hardware platform enables software developers and system integrators to build a customized Linux- or Windows-based unified communications (UC) or business phone system for the specialized needs of their customers. It can host such network appliance applications as Interactive Voice Response (IVR), call recording, call-accounting, enterprise session border controller (E-SBC), and more.
Using the SNOGA with Linux- or Windows-based IP-PBX or UC software, software engineers can build IP communications solutions for the specialized business processes of such organizations as law firms, banks, retailers, manufacturers, auto shops, and call centers.
The SNOGA incorporates an industry-standard mini-ITX motherboard and a 2 GHz Intel Celeron quad-core processor integrated with a SmartNode VoIP gateway or enterprise session border controller (E-SBC).
SmartNode works with FXS/FXO, PRI, and BRI phone equipment and services, enabling SMBs to integrate their existing voice equipment and PSTN services with UC systems, IP-PBXs, and SIP-trunk services.†
Patton is currently offering†demo units†to qualifying partners for testing of the SmartNode Open Gateway Appliance.
