GIGABYTE Technology, a creator of high performance server hardware, has introduced two new models of its high-density rackmount servers. Based on the Intel†C612 platform, these 2U rackmounts feature four trays hosting a dual socket computing node each, and are differentiated by different onboard LAN solutions and storage connectors.†
H270-F4G: Dual 10GbE QSFP+ Per Node
The nodes of the H270-F4G are all equipped with an Intel†82599ES network controller and a single QSFP+ fiber port capable of two separate 10GbE signals.
For users requiring an even larger network bandwidth, this model is also available with an†Intel†XL710-AM1†(previously known as†Fortville) controller capable of a 40GbE signal.
H270-F4G Specifications:
- 2U – 4 nodes high density rack with front access to the node trays
- Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 V3 product family
- 8 x LGA 2011-3 sockets
- Intel C612 chipset
- 64 x DDR4 ECC slots
- 2 x 10GbE with QSFP+ LAN ports (Intel 82599ES)
- 16 x 2.5-inch hot-swappable HDD/SSD bays
- 1600W 80 PLUS Platinum redundant PSU
†H270-H70: Entry Level High Density†Server
The H270-H70 is an entry-level version of the model above.†The four nodes of this version are not equipped with the same LAN solution as the H270-F4G, as they each have two GbE LAN ports driven by an†Intel†I350 controller.†
