Computer hardware manufacturer GIGABYTE Technology has introduced its G190-H44 barebone server, the company’s first high performance computing 1U server supporting 4 x†double slot GPU computing cards.
The†release of this product†coincides with the announcement made by†NVIDIA unveiling its new Tesla M60 card as well as the GRID 2.0 virtualization technology. GIGABYTE’s G190-H44 supports the new server card and is a NVIDIA GRID certified server solution.
Additional features include:
- 4 x GPU in an Airflow Optimized Rackmount – The server places the card slots, the CPU sockets, power supplies, and the 11 heavy duty 23,000rpm fans within the chassis enabling the components to receive the proper amount of airflow.
- Large Thermal†Envelope – Built with a pair of 80 PLUS Platinum 2000W power supplies, the server can run 4 high power computing cards while maintaining a power supply redundancy.
- Supports Most Industry Computing Cards – The G190-H44 can receive most of the standard double slot GPU / computing card†models from Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD. To see the models tested and validated by GIGABYTE, the G190-H44’s qualified vendor list is available here.
- Active Cards Allowed – The server can receive both passive and active computing cards, as long as the latter type can have an airflow direction aligned with the rackmount’s front to back design.
- No Processor TDP Restrictions – The G190-H44 is capable to operate to its full capacity with the highest TDP models (145W) from the†Intel Xeon processor†E5-2600†V3 product family.
- 35∞C Operating Ambient Temperature – The server is capable to operate fully equipped in an ambient temperature of up to 35∞C.
- Expandibility – TheG190-H44 has reserved space for†2 x 2.5-inch hot-swappable bays, 2 x 1.8-inch fixed internal bays, and 2 x full-length low-profile slots for add-on PCIe cards.
