CHERRY has announced the latest addition to its keyboard family, the MX Board 1.0 TKL. The compact new device features a layout refined down to essential keys and is designed to let busy professionals free up valuable desk space. Built with the original CHERRY MX keyswitch, MX Board 1.0 TKL’s appearance is backed by dimmable white backlighting, laser etched keys, and an illuminated USB plug.
According to CHERRY, the corded mechanical keyboard with TKL layout is designed for comfort but still as sturdy as the larger predecessors in CHERRY’s keyboard family. The MX Board 1.0 TKL is equipped with additional feet for a non-slip grip and is adjustable to custom heights. Its anti-ghosting technology and N-key rollover function prevent input errors, while the Win-Key lock’s function seeks to protect busy professionals from unnecessary headaches.
MX Board 1.0 TKL has a space-conscious design to allow for comfortable and precise keystrokes. Each key is meant to last at least fifty million operations. The new keyboard is compatible with both PC and Mac and available in four signature CHERRY switch types – red, blue, black, and brown. The product uses a plug and play connection that simplifies setup and configuration. CHERRY’s original MX Module is intended to endure constant use millions of times over.
“The new keyboard would be a great addition for companies operating in small office spaces or for professionals on the move. Our research shows that the need for compact office equipment has never been higher than it is right now,”†said Chad Vendette, director of marketing at Cherry Americas, in a press statement.†”We are responding to the market trends.”
The CHERRY MX Board 1.0 TKL keyboard comes with a two-year warranty, is compliant with cURus, CE, BSMI, and FCC standrds, and is now available for $99.00 MSRP. A master package, consisting of ten CHERRY MX Board 1.0 TKL keyboards, is also available.
