Distributor Pax8 has added products from availability vendor Veeam and cloud storage provider Wasabi Technologies to its roster of cloud solutions.
The new offerings, both of which were announced in conjunction with Veeam’s VeeamON conference in Miami this week, further widen Pax8’s steadily expanding software- and infrastructure-as-a-service portfolio. Giving channel pros more options to choose from in key market categories has been a priority for the company in recent months.
“Veeam has shown a commitment to the IT channel and focus on delivering industry-leading innovative technology, and we are excited their suite of flexible and reliable cloud solutions are now available to Pax8 partners,” said Ryan Walsh, Pax8’s chief channel officer, in a press statement. “Our partners who serve SMBs can now take advantage of the opportunity to optimize their cloud technology stacks with Veeam’s best-in-class solutions that readily compliment many existing cloud solutions.”
Solutions now available to partners through Pax8’s online marketplace include Veeam Availability Suite, Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam ONE, Veeam Cloud Connect, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365, and Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows.
“We are excited to partner with Pax8 in delivering a new level of automation, aggregation, and innovation to their MSPs’ offering,” said Matt Kalmenson, vice president of cloud and provider sales at Veeam, in prepared remarks. “This new partnership will further benefit the IT channel, as well as enable us to extend our reach into the SMB segment.”
Founded by David Friend and Jeff Flowers, the duo responsible for Carbonite as well, Wasabi offers a cloud-based “hot storage” service fully compatible with Amazon’s S3 platform. According to the vendor, however, Wasabi’s service is 600 percent faster than Amazon’s and 80 percent cheaper.
“Wasabi offers a new, innovative way to add value to the MSP-client relationship through their purpose-built cloud storage technology,” said Walsh in a statement. “By offering Wasabi through Pax8, MSPs have access to affordable, fast cloud object storage without having to compromise protection and performance.”
Wasabi, which was a member of ChannelPro‘s Vendors on the Vanguard list for 2018, launched a partner program in April.
“The new partnership with Pax8 is meaningful because of the unique value they bring to the MSP community and our company,” said Marty Falaro, senior vice president of global sales and alliances at Wasabi, in supplied comments. “Wasabi’s hot cloud storage empowers MSPs to further optimize their clientele to securely store data at a disruptive price and performance model. Through the partnership with Pax8, we will continue to grow and scale at a rapid rate.”
According to Pax8, Veeam and Wasabi products combine to deliver an effective storage, backup, and archiving environment. Helping channel pros multiple cloud solutions together has been focus area for Pax8 since the release of its Pax8 Stax cross-selling tool a year ago.
“Now that Pax8 is offering both Veeam and Wasabi, MSPs can improve data protection, reduce expenses, and easily connect their Veeam environment to Wasabi hot cloud storage using Veeam’s new object storage interface.”
Other recent additions to Pax8’s vendor lineup include StorageCraft last month as well as Acronis, Dropsuite, Passportal, Proofpoint, and Israeli anti-phishing vendor IRONSCALES last November.
