Eaton is redefining power protection once again with its Tripp Lite series cloud-connected UPS line. Following the successful launch of its cloud-enabled small desktop UPS last year, Eaton is now rolling out a new series designed specifically for back-office and IT environments.
For businesses and IT managers, maintaining uptime in network closets is critical. But keeping track of multiple UPS systems across locations has been challenging. Eaton’s latest cloud-connected Tripp Lite series UPS changes that, offering a powerful yet simple solution for remote monitoring and management.
Next-level Remote Monitoring and Control
Connected to the cloud, these new models make deployment and management seamless thanks to the intuitive Brightlayer-powered platform. IT teams and MSPs can track UPS health, battery status, and power conditions in real time from a single dashboard.
Setting up a new device is as easy as scanning a QR code. Once scanned and added to your organization, the UPS is automatically registered and ready for monitoring. Additionally, NFC functionality reduces setup time. It allows users to configure UPS network settings from a mobile device and push configurations across multiple units.
Scalable Power Protection
The new Eaton Tripp Lite series network closet UPS models are available in both rackmount and tower form factors, and in multiple configurations, including 750VA, 1000VA, and 1500VA options, with additional pure sine wave models launching soon.
One key enhancement in this generation is advanced load management. Unlike previous models, which allowed for a single load toggle, the new UPS units feature multiple toggleable outlet banks. This means critical devices can receive prioritized power, while nonessential equipment can be powered down during an outage to extend battery runtime.
Power as an Opportunity for MSPs
With no additional cost for Eaton’s remote management software, MSPs can seamlessly incorporate UPS monitoring into their service stack, offering power management as a value-added service. This opens new revenue streams, allowing MSPs to provide proactive battery replacement, on-site support, and even bundled power-as-a-service offerings.
As Sumitra Giri, product manager at Eaton, explains, “MSPs can differentiate themselves by offering complete power solutions without any added software costs. They can add real business value by ensuring customers’ power infrastructure remains protected and managed efficiently.”
