LAS VEGAS, NV – Trustifi, the premier provider of AI- and cloud-based email cyber security solutions, announced it is launching a new Email Security Awareness training module, a threat simulation tool that MSPs can offer to their end-customers. The module helps train network users to recognize and avoid phishing attacks, then goes a step further to provide actionable strategies, analytics, and reports that help administrators evaluate the module’s results and enhance the protection of their networks. The Email Security Awareness tool identifies users who are most vulnerable to phishing attempts, allowing IT administrators to apply warning banners and training strategies to users who fall prey to the program’s mock phishing attacks. The module and its campaigns can be conducted by the end-users’ IT department, or by the managing MSP itself, depending on the customer/MSP business model. Information on the Email Security Awareness Module can be found here.

The addition of the Email Security Awareness training module to Trustifi’s comprehensive portfolio of email cybersecurity solidifies the company’s position as a one-stop resource for MSPs and their end-users, delivering government grade encryption, inbound and outbound email protection, data loss protection; plus modules for account takeover protection, archiving, and e-discovery. The inclusion of a cutting-edge threat simulation module as part of this extensive offering—complete with remediation tactics—is a true market differentiator for Trustifi. Its offering now includes proactive and precautionary features for end-users, in addition to best-in-class, AI-driven filters and tools that address the rise in AI-generated threats and phishing.

The Trustifi Email Security Awareness training platform is easily accessible through Trustifi’s main interface. It enables IT administrators to launch a multitude of fake phishing campaigns with just a few clicks, either to individual network users or across an entire organization. The module includes a series of pre-constituted templates that administrators can use to automatically generate a convincing phishing email, including the use of genuine-looking email templates that mimic messages from Microsoft, Google Workspace, GoDaddy, and Salesforce.com, among other ubiquitous IT vendors—just like a hacker would. Administrators can also customize these templates, tailoring them to the usage patterns and details of the organization’s employees, making the faux phishing emails staggeringly convincing. The module is designed to emulate the tactics of cybercriminals, who can create similarly targeted and nearly imperceptible phishing emails in minutes, thanks to malicious phishing software and clever natural language generators.

Once a fake phishing email is created and distributed to network users through the Trustifi module, administrators immediately receive reports detailing which users fell prey to the faux attack. Users who clicked on an “infected” link then receive a message saying that they just fell victim to a simulated attack, generated by their company in order to strengthen awareness. The user also immediately sees insights and instructions on how to spot phishing emails in the future. Administrators are provided with detailed analytics on how many users clicked on which links, and whether or not results have improved over the course of multiple campaigns.

To deliver proactive benefits from these tests, the Trustifi module allows administrators to attach “smart banners” to the top of future emails received by personnel who failed the simulated phishing attempts, since those “victims” were shown to have low email security awareness. These banners remind users to be conscious of phishing strategies. Admins can send additional messages with tips on identifying nefarious emails, such as the use of overly familiar greetings, a slightly altered version of a vendor’s domain (“@help.microsoft.com” instead of “@microsoft.com”), or flagrantly urgent calls-to-action.

“With the escalation of AI-based language generators, companies have to find new and more aggressive ways to help their employees combat phishing attacks,” began Rom Hendler, CEO and co-founder of Trustifi. “It’s become so difficult to determine which emails are safe and which are malicious, that more proactive strategies like threat simulations are becoming a necessary tactic. Trustifi is now one of the few providers to incorporate a threat simulation product within its greater suite of email security solutions, singling us out as a full-service, one-stop partner when it comes to email data protection. The versatility and scope of our solutions truly distinguishes us among other security companies.”

Trustifi’s comprehensive suite of AI-powered email cybersecurity solutions out-perform traditional, gateway-based software, much of which relies on blacklisting and whitelisting of known IP addresses to filter-out threats. These AI-powered, next-generation solutions can interpret phrasing and detect sophisticated, “social engineering” attacks, often targeting high-level personnel who can authorize major fund transfers or provide vital credentials. Trustifi’s AI-driven solutions can also flag hard-to-detect hazards such as infected QR codes, compromised images and attachments, and URL links that use disguising characters like “@” signs to circumvent conventional security email filters.

Trustifi was recognized in the 2023 Gartner Market Guide for Email Security* for its Outbound Shield, Inbound Shield, and Account Takeover Protection solution. In addition, Trustifi’s solutions have repeatedly been acknowledged through awards from esteemed sources such as CRN, the American Business Association, ChannelVision magazine, Expert Insights, the Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards, SourceForge, and the Golden Bridge “Globee” Awards.
