A recent deepened collaboration between IT industry giants SentinelOne (NYSE: S) and Pax8 is set to fortify the companies’ cybersecurity offerings for small to midsize businesses (SMBs) – a move that can help MSPs and MSSPs grow as well.
Global AI security leader SentinelOne on Nov. 28 announced it signed a multiyear strategic agreement with premier technology solutions marketplace Pax8 to expand services with more best-in-class endpoint, identity, cloud security, and threat intelligence offerings.
Through this partnership, SentinelOne’s Singularity platform and eventually the Purple AI security assistant will be made available to SMBs via Pax8, offering ways for IT services providers to build new revenue streams, said Chris Catanzaro, SentinelOne vice president, MSSP.
It is a key segment to focus on since SMBs represent about half of the roughly $370 billion in overall tech spending, according to McKinsey & Co. Plus, SMBs are looking for more ways to keep their information secure as businesses increasingly face evolving cyber threats.
Deeper Ties for Enhanced Cybersecurity
SentinelOne and Pax8, which already had collaborated for more than four years to provide next-generation cybersecurity solutions, can now deliver more cutting-edge AI security solutions to the fast-growing SMB marketplace, Catanzaro told ChannelPro.
“Businesses are increasingly turning to managed security providers to elevate their protection, address cybersecurity talent shortages, and better align cost structures.”
This partnership is key for the channel, since businesses of all sizes need to be equipped with leading-edge technology to detect and prevent cyberattacks, SentinelOne COO Vats Srivatsan said in a prepared statement.
“No business is immune to cyberattacks, and regardless of their size, companies need leading-edge technology to detect and prevent them.”
That sentiment echoed both companies’ shared vision in empowering SMBs with advanced AI security solutions to automatically defend their environments and secure their future.
“SentinelOne is one of our largest and fastest-growing partners,” Pax8 CEO, Chairman and Founder John Street said in a prepared statement. “We are excited about our expanded relationship, which will create greater value for our partners and support small businesses in fortifying their security posture.”
Highlights of the Expanded Partnership
SentinelOne’s Singularity platform is easy to deploy across multiple sites, and coupled with its market-leading AI capabilities, it eliminates the need for manual threat detection and hunting.
Tying that in with Pax8’s e-commerce platform will enable access to SentinelOne solutions through a new, streamlined click-to-buy option. It allows SMBs to quickly and easily connect to begin their Pax8 “cyber journey,” Catazano said.
“We share a common vision and mission to provide businesses, regardless of their size, with solutions that allow them to protect their businesses from the increasing number of cyber threats they face. We know that our success – and ultimately, the success of our customers – hinges on the success of our partners, and we are not out to compete with them. Our goal is to deliver innovations that transform cybersecurity and open new opportunities for our MSSP partners to grow their business.”
The strengthened partnership between SentinelOne and Pax8 marks a significant step towards enhancing cybersecurity for SMBs with a broader range of AI security solutions and streamlined adoption processes, thus giving services providers more tools to offer their customers as well as a way to win new business.
