Global technology solutions leader Dell Technologies last week unveiled a comprehensive suite of professional services tailored for Microsoft, with a special focus on Microsoft 365 Copilot AI assistant. This strategic move is set to revolutionize the way managed services providers implement and manage technology, offering a seamless transition into the era of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).
Bridging the Gap between Aspiration and Realization
Dell’s latest announcement is a significant leap forward in the integration of advanced technology.
By 2026, more than 80% of enterprises will have used GenAI application programming interfaces or models, or deployed GenAI-enabled applications in production environments – up from less than 5% in 2023, according to Gartner.
Dell’s new services can help bridge the gap between aspiration and realization of GenAI, Scott Bils, vice president of professional services portfolio for Dell Technologies, said in a prepared statement. “By coupling Microsoft 365 Copilot’s real-time intelligence and services from Dell, organizations can more easily implement and scale next generation AI capabilities.”
Unpacking Dell’s New Professional Services
Dell’s suite of professional services encompasses a range of offerings designed to empower organizations in their Microsoft technology journey. The services for Microsoft 365 Copilot include assessment, advisory, operational readiness, and implementation services. These services together facilitate a rapid and scalable adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, enabling IT services providers to efficiently tap into its full potential.
In addition, Bils highlighted the robust security measures in place: “The data is grounded in Microsoft 365, and Dell offers services to help make sure our customers’ data is secured, leveraging appropriate information protection policies using Microsoft Purview to safeguard from unintended information exposure,” he said.
Unlocking Microsoft 365 Copilot’s Potential
Dell’s services can empower customers to accelerate productivity and efficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot, said TJ Devine, Microsoft senior director of product marketing, in a prepared statement. The services play a pivotal role in ensuring organizations have a well-defined AI strategy and implementation plan, coupled with user readiness for optimal scaling of this powerful GenAI capability.
Bils elaborated on the opportunities this offers MSPs to grow: “Providing ongoing management, optimization, and governance of customers’ business data, supporting infrastructure, and driving best practices of responsible use of Gen AI technologies with adoption and change management are a few of the opportunities for Dell to help managed service providers gain efficiency and new revenue streams.”
Beyond Microsoft 365 Copilot: A Holistic Approach
Dell’s effort to enhancing Microsoft technology experiences extends beyond Microsoft 365 Copilot. The suite includes more than a dozen services catering to various aspects of Microsoft’s ecosystem. Dell is empowering organizations to make informed decisions and drive efficiency, from professional services for Microsoft Azure and multicloud management with Azure Arc to advisory services for strategic cloud resource consumption and optimization.
Dell Technologies’ latest endeavor reinforces its commitment to empowering services providers to embrace the future of technology seamlessly as the demand surges for GenAI.
