SMB TechFest, a two-day quarterly conference for managed service providers and channel partners, took place July 27-28 at the AV Irvine Event Center in Irvine, Calif. Both days included technical, management, and sales sessions; breakouts; expo hall time; and networking.
SMB TechFest Founder and CIO of IT Innovators Dave Seibert welcomed attendees Thursday morning. Expert presentations were given by: Karl Palachuk, speaker, author, and business coach, on “Absolutely Unbreakable Rules of Service Delivery”; thought leader and business coach Erick Simpson on “Get Every Client to Say Yes to Cybersecurity Without Selling”; and consultant Prabhat Nagim on “Getting Up to Speed on CMMC and NIST for Compliance”
The day also included vendor presentations on cybersecurity, growing business with Microsoft, customer service automation, and more. In addition, there was a panel discussion on what partners need to know from the 2023 Microsoft Inspire partner conference.
Afternoon breakout sessions included one on AI powered prospecting, presented by sales expert Gil Cargill.
The day ended with a reception with a DJ, food, and drinks.
On Friday, there were vendor sessions on CIS controls, print management, and more. In addition, there was a panel discussion on successfully engaging with Microsoft, and a roundtable session led by Seibert on “36 Answers Your Business Needs.”
SMB TechFest Q4 will be held October 19-20.
