Acronis has added an integration with Splashtop‘s remote access solutions to its Cyber Protect Cloud security and BDR offering.
The new functionality, which is available to Acronis users free of charge, lets technicians take control of endpoints in need of troubleshooting or support directly from inside the Cyber Protect Cloud console. Benefits, Acronis says, include faster remediation of incidents, improved administrative productivity, and increased customer satisfaction.
“No business is safe in the current cyberthreat landscape, and they are looking to Managed Service Providers who specialize in cyber protection services,” said Pat Hurley, vice president and general manager for the Americas at Acronis, in a media statement. “Acronis provides the air-tight protection MSPs need, while Splashtop’s intuitive interface allows issues to be resolved without delay, reducing costs associated with downtime.”
According to Acronis, Cyber Protect Cloud users can now access managed workloads via Splashtop Business Access, Splashtop Enterprise, Splashtop Remote Support, and Splashtop SOS with a single click, and then utilize those systems’ file transfer, remote reboot, chat, and other features.
“Security is the backbone of everything we do at Splashtop, so we are proud to partner with such a trusted and proven cyber protection platform,” said Thomas Deng, Splashtop’s co-founder and senior vice president of product management, in supplied remarks. “Acronis leaves no stone unturned when it comes to the protections and support it offers service providers and their clients.”
Splashtop is Acronis’s first and so far only remote access integration partner. Cyber Protect Cloud also integrates with a variety of RMM and mobile device management solutions, including systems from Addigy, Atera, ConnectWise, Datto, Kaseya, Microsoft, N-able, and NinjaOne.
Acronis unveiled a data loss prevention module for Cyber Protect Cloud, due later this quarter, during the RSA Conference last month.
Splashtop, for its part, added voice calling functionality and an “SOS Call” desktop app that lets end users request support sessions to its Splashtop Enterprise solution in May, and introduced an augmented reality remote support tool in April.
