Axcient has rolled out an enhanced benefit scheme for its MSP partner program.
Under a new tiering structure also introduced today, members of the Axcient Partner Program (APP) can qualify for three tiers—silver, gold, and platinum—based on monthly recurring revenue. Axcient checks partners for promotion eligibility biannually.
Silver-level members get access to the Axcient Partner Portal, which in turn provides access to the Axcient Marketing Program, the Axcient University training site, and an administrative hub for managing client backup and recovery. They also qualify for support from Axcient’s “tech touch” team through the portal or by telephone, receive a dedicated partner success manager, and are eligible for $250 to $1,000 of credit-based rewards for referring fellow MSPs who subsequently become APP members.
At the gold level, partners incrementally receive a channel marketing manager for help with marketing plans and sales strategies, as well as access to market development funds for use at lead generation events and other activities staged collaboratively with Axcient.
Platinum members, finally, get assistance with personalized email and social media campaigns, vertical-specific collateral, and other customized assets through Axcient’s Marketing Concierge Service unit, plus a quarterly “Solutions Operational Audit” of their solution implementation and operational infrastructure that provides also new product updates and performance and efficiency recommendations. Platinum partners are eligible to get inside information on upcoming roadmap milestones and influence forthcoming product plans by joining Axcient’s Partner Advisory Committee as well.
“The new Axcient Partner Program offers MSPs a guide to grow their businesses and expand their technology stacks and services with our award-winning backup and disaster recovery technology,” said Charlie Tomeo, Axcient’s chief revenue officer, in a press statement. “While Axcient has always had a partner program, we enhanced the new program to meet the evolving needs of our partners. It now enables more certification and training opportunities, virtual labs, access to more Marketing Development funds, and more.”
Axcient’s last major APP overhaul arrived in 2020 after the introduction of x360, the vendor’s business availability platform. Like those announced today, the changes introduced two years ago were designed to bring added simplicity and clarity to requirements and rewards.
Simplicity has been a watchword more generally at Axcient since CEO David Bennett joined the company in 2019. Under his leadership, the company has reduced close to 1,500 product SKUs to just 11 and unified multiple solutions under the x360 umbrella.
Tomeo, who like Bennett is a veteran of security vendor Webroot, joined Axcient late in 2020 as part of a revamped sales executive team.
Axcient launched a direct-to-cloud BDR solution for Microsoft Azure last November.
