Epson has shipped two new WorkForce Supertank color inkjet multifunction printers for remote workers and small offices.
Both devices are designed to combine compact footprints with high capacity. The WorkForce ST-C4100 comes with enough ink in the box to support up to 14,000 mono pages and up to 11,200 color pages, while the WorkForce ST-C2100 includes enough ink for 6,500 mono pages and 5,200 color ones.
In both cases, according to Epson, that’s enough ink to accommodate two years of average use. Buyers who run out of ink before then can get up to eight additional ink bottles via Epson’s two-year ink guarantee, provided they purchase through an authorized Epson reseller between now and next March.
“As businesses continue to be remote, it is essential to implement high-performance printing solutions that are engineered for reliability, cost-efficiency and are easy to manage,” said Kaila Murphy, product manager for business imaging at Epson America, in a media statement. “The new Supertank models are a great fit for remote workforces because they come included with high-yield ink bottles, making consumables management for IT organizations quite simple.”
Both new models, which are available immediately from Epson BusinessFirst dealers, feature a printhead designed to last the life of the printer, and are backed by a two-year limited warranty. They’re also both compatible with Epson’s Solutions Suite of embedded security and administrative features and the Epson Smart Panel mobile app for iOS and Android.
The ST-C4100, which supports faxing and auto two-sided printing, is equipped with a 250-sheet paper tray, an auto document feeder, and a 2.4-inch color touchscreen. The unit prints up to 15.5 ISO black pages and up to 8.5 ISO color pages per minute. Users can choose among Ethernet, wireless, and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity.
The ST-C2100 supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and auto two-sided printing as well, and prints up to 10.5 ISO black pages and up to five ISO color pages per minute. It also has a voice-activated printing feature and can print borderless photos up to 4 x 6 inches.
The ST-C4100 replaces the older WorkForce ST-4000, while the ST-C2100 replaces the ST-C2000.
Epson released a similar, even higher capacity A3 color Supertank printer with two years of ink in June.
