Pulseway has released a new edition of its IT management platform geared specifically to the needs of MSPs and businesses that support work-from-home employees.
The new offering, called the Pulseway Remote Support Software Package, debuted in April in response to spiking demand for remote administration capabilities among organizations impacted by coronavirus-related lockdown orders in the U.S. and overseas.
A stripped-down version of Pulseway’s flagship solution, the new system includes unlimited concurrent remote control sessions, remote user chat and file transfer, file and folder backup, user and group access policy setting, server and application management, and operating system patching. The auto-remediation capabilities that Pulseway rolled out in April are also included as is the mobile app the company introduced last November.
Pricing for the remote support system starts at $1.04 per endpoint per month, with yearly and multi-year discounts, versus $2.59 for Pulseway’s complete suite of RMM, PSA, backup, and security products.
Optional add-ons such as the direct-to-cloud backup feature Pulseway launched last December and the patch management for third-party applications it added the following month are available in the remote support solution at no extra charge. Buyers can bundle in antivirus software from Bitdefender, Kaspersky, and OpenText’s Webroot unit as well.
Though the new package seeks to meet a temporary requirement—supporting end users impacted by stay-at-home orders designed to contain the spread of COVID-19—it may retain a spot in Pulseway’s solution portfolio after the coronavirus pandemic has passed.
“We are considering keeping the package permanent since we can see a demand on the market and the response has been great so far,” says Marius Mihalec, the vendor’s CEO.
Pulseway sees a potential market for the product beyond the customers it normally serves as well. “Pulseway Remote Support Software targets a broader audience rather than just MSPs and internal IT departments, as its features are applicable and necessary for every business operating in a remote workspace,” Mihalec says.
Pulseway was rated the number one remote support solution of 2020 for customer satisfaction by Software Advice, a division of Gartner that helps businesses evaluate and select applications.
