The IoTSSA Cyber Security Services Expo is taking place today at TopGolf in Ashburn, Va. It is the fifth of six events the IoT Security Services Association has on the docket for 2019. The IoT Security Services Association is a community of IT channel partners connecting industry security experts and vendors with IT service providers.
Warranty Master CEO Dan Wensley and 20-year channel chief and IoTSSA content director Brian Sherman opened the event, followed by an introduction of the event sponsors.
Presentations include CompTIA’s latest IoT research, plus 2019 security predictions and how it impacts SMBs’ and IT solution providers’ businesses; the dark web and dispelling ransomware myths; and ConnectWise’s discussion on recalibrated cyber security and the SMB.
The day also features a cybersecurity swot analysis using the latest SMB research, a pen test demo, and a security expert panel discussion.
In addition, attendees will get an introduction to IoT Playbook, the integrator and solution provider’s guide to profiting from the Internet of Things, and a sister publication of ChannelPro.
The day ends with awards and prizes, followed by a golf outing.
Next up on the IoTSSA cybersecurity tour is Mt. Laurel, N.J., on November 21.
