Tech Data Corp. has added robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to its portfolio via an alliance with Automation Anywhere Inc., of San Jose, Calif.
The pact gives Tech Data customers in the U.S. access to business process automation solutions that augment human workforces with digital ones. Backed by artificial intelligence technology, the new offerings are designed to help companies focus on activities that drive strategic value, like innovation and improving customer engagement, rather than rote tasks best performed by computers.
“Tech Data is proud to lead the charge in championing Automation Anywhere’s groundbreaking RPA offerings throughout the IT channel,” said Colin Blair, vice president of analytics and IoT solutions for the Americas at Tech Data, in prepared remarks. “This is a genuine advantage to our partners who are looking to help their clients drive business efficiencies by automating interactions.”
Automation Anywhere’s flagship product, Automation Anywhere Enterprise, is designed for businesses looking to assign end-to-end responsibility for business processes to software-based bots by combining traditional RPA with cognitive elements such as natural language processing and reading unstructured data.
“We’re looking forward to leveraging Tech Data’s considerable expertise in strategically delivering solutions to the channel ecosystem,” said Kristen Diamond, senior director of marketing at Automation Anywhere, in a press statement. “Our Automation Anywhere Channel Partner team has worked with companies of all sizes and across a multitude of segments—including those in financial services, business process outsourcing, healthcare, technology, insurance and more—and our platform is powerful enough to automate tasks of any complexity, while being user-friendly enough for anyone to use.”
Tech Data’s new RPA solutions are the latest in a string of offerings from Blair’s team delivered in collaboration with third-party vendors. Last July, for example, the company introduced an industrial Internet of Things solution in partnership with Advantech and a retail inventory management solution in partnership with Keonn Technologies.
