FileCloud, a cloud-agnostic enterprise file sync, and sharing platform, has announced the launch of DocIQ, a real-time data feature that functions as a layer on top of Microsoft Office to display relevant contextual information to help users collaborate.
“In today’s workplace, multiple stakeholders — including employees, customers, and partners — collaborate on the same document. This approach has typically required people to switch between apps and sending emails and messages,” said Madhan Kanagavel, CEO and Founder at FileCloud. “With FileCloud DocIQ, relevant information is organized and displayed without ever having to leave the document. DocIQ empowers teams to accomplish tasks faster.”
Available as a layer on top of Microsoft Office, DocIQ brings together relevant information from various streams into an intuitive and easy-to-read format that allows collaboration across the globe and multiple devices. Features include:
- Ability to lock files to avoid conflicting parallel edits to the same document
- Prevent download (Read blocked) to avoid other users from downloading files being edited
- Displays details of who you have shared files with and allows you to manage sharing access
- Maintains notes and comments alongside the document
With an estimated 80 percent of enterprise files behind firewalls, FileCloud delivers real-time remote collaboration capabilities to all files, even those stored on-premise. For large companies with a distributed workforce, DocIQ users can collaborate on files seamlessly.
“FileCloud has made file sharing and collaboration more mobile and efficient than ever before,” said David Dietz, ifm efector, Inc. “When it comes to innovation, no other platform introduces innovations as FileCloud does. FileCloud constantly makes enhancements and adds new features based on customer requests. In addition to ease of use, FileCloud allows us to run it on-premise, which gives us the complete visibility and control to make sure the right people have access to the right content.”
