TPx‘s UCx Hosted Unified Communications Service marks the milestone of 150,000 users nationwide with the newest enhancement in its award-winning suite of services that unleash productivity for business users. The addition of a powerful new SMS messaging feature is the latest achievement in TPx’s ongoing mission to continually upgrade unified communications capabilities for its customers.
With the SMS messaging feature, a UCx user can receive an SMS text message on their UCx phone number; the inbound message automatically will appear in the UCx application (desktop or mobile) as a new chat conversation. Likewise, UCx users now also can send SMS messages to their contacts through the UCx chat interface.

UCx SMS messaging is now available as a standard feature, at no additional cost, for user bundles at UCx Complete and above. In addition to voice service and SMS messaging, these user bundles also include a full range of advanced communications tools, such as instant messaging, screen sharing, video conferencing and availability status indicators.
