Collabrance has added security information event management (SIEM) and vulnerability and penetration (VUL/PEN) testing to its master managed security services provider (MSSP) offering.
A master MSP and subsidiary of GreatAmerica Financial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Collabrance offers a resellable white-label technology stack to its managed service provider partners.
The SIEM addition will provide 24/7/365 security operations center monitoring of systems that send prioritized alerting on selected devices. The VUL/PEN testing runs tests against an organization’s public facing unified threat management to assess the vulnerability of the organization from the outside and determine the level of penetration into the systems, so appropriate security measures can be established.
“In this dynamic IT industry, we will continue to expand our technology stack in our efforts to offer an industry-leading Master MSSP offering to better serve our MSP partners and their SMB customers,” said Greg VanDeWalker (pictured), senior vice president of IT channel services at Collabrance and GreatAmerica, in a press statement.
Earlier in the year, Collabrance announced the formation of peer groups in a collaboration with Plano, Texas-based Service Leadership, an IT business transformation consultancy and publisher of the Service Leadership Index benchmark. And more recently, Collabrance was selected as a member of the Ingram Micro Trust X Alliance.
In related news, GreatAmerica will host a webinar on August 22 to share the results of a TechValidate survey focused on security and MSSPs in the IT channel that identified SIEM and VUL/PEN testing as the top two of 33 security components MSPs are looking to add to their managed services offering.
