Ingram Micro Inc. has expanded its managed print program, adding bundled combinations of printers, supplies, and services as well as further partner enablement resources.
Fees for the new bundles, which partners can white-label and deliver under their own brand, are assessed monthly and based on page count, service plan, and printer type. The program includes mono, color, and multifunction printer options.
“Whether a channel partner is exploring their options, launching a managed print service practice or overhauling an existing MPS offering in order to grow their recurring revenue model more quickly, Ingram Micro is ready to help speed their time to market and time to value,” said Mike Erwin, Irvine, Calif.-based Ingram’s executive director of vendor management for business and consumer solutions, in a press statement.
Managed print spending will climb at 14.8 percent CAGR through 2024, according to Transparency Market Research.
“Our new MPS solutions are an easy opportunity for channel partners to increase margins by attaching supplies to every single printer sale,” said Erwin. “We’ve expanded and simplified our program so it’s a one-stop shop for managed print solutions with everything sold under a single solution rather than a complicated set of products and services that our partners have to bundle and manage themselves. We want to make it easier and more profitable for our channel partners to grow their recurring revenue with managed print and expand their portfolio.”
Convergence across the IT, telecom, and print channels has providers of managed network services eyeing managed print as a means of both boosting monthly recurring revenue and protecting their accounts from print-first service providers.
Xerox Corp. introduced bundled managed print solutions of its own in February.
