CloudJumper Turns Partner Portal Into End-to-End WaaS Lifecycle Management Tool

First launched last year, the vendor’s my.CloudJumper offering will now unify tools for orchestration, provisioning, migration, and other functions, plus a newly introduced customer management module, within one interface.

Workspace-as-a-Service platform operator CloudJumper has integrated multiple online management tools with its my.CloudJumper partner portal in a bid to create a single pane of glass control console for the entire WaaS client lifecycle.

Previously, partners of the Garner, N.C.-based vendor performed orchestration, provisioning, and other functions through a series of independent systems.

“Now all that is gone and there’s one single partner portal, and everything is integrated in there,” says Max Pruger, CloudJumper’s chief sales officer.

That includes JumpStart, the “ground-to-cloud” migration solution for users of CloudJumper’s nWorkSpace solution. Unveiled in March, that system is designed to shorten WaaS setup from a process requiring weeks or months of time to one that can be completed in days or even hours.

“The biggest pain still today for any type of cloud migration is that actual physical move to the cloud,” Pruger says. “We try to make the migration as painless as possible for our partners.”

The my.CloudJumper version of JumpStart announced today also includes new two-way sync functionality that mirrors activity in cloud-based workstations on their physical counterparts, enabling WaaS users to switch back temporarily to an on-premises PC if problems arise during the cloud onboarding process.

CloudJumper has also introduced a new customer management module for my.CloudJumper. Quietly put into general availability last month, it’s designed to help resellers add, update, and disable client accounts, administer end user server infrastructures, manage CloudJumper’s inventory of over 2,200 cloud applications, and more.

My.CloudJumper debuted last October in conjunction with the rollout of CloudJumper’s new channel partner program. At that time, the portal provided quoting, billing, and support features. Incorporating JumpStart and the new customer management module as well turns it into a unified command and control console for everything resellers do before, during, and after landing new customers. The system currently has about 500 active users.

According to Pruger, my.CloudJumper and its various components, including JumpStart, will remain free to CloudJumper partners at least through the end of the year.

“We don’t have plans to date to charge for it, but we’ll re-evaluate at the beginning of next year,” he says.

The global WaaS market will reach $18.37 billion by the close of 2022, according to Transparency Market Research.
