Autotask Corporation has introduced Workplace Server as an add-on to the company’s file, sync, and share solution, Autotask Workplace, providing technology service providers the ability to modernize legacy remote access infrastructure.
Workplace Server is a server agent designed to sync files and folders from supported file servers with Autotask’s secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. It also integrates with Microsoft File Locking and offers the ability to leverage local area networks.
“Technology Service Providers need to provide SMBs with a safe, secure, and simple way for employees to collaborate whether they are in the office or working remotely,” says Patrick Burns, vice president of Product Management, Autotask. “With Autotask Workplace Server, we are giving organizations the ability to work as virtual teams and collaborate on business documents anytime and from anywhere. Workplace Server leverages the local area network infrastructure for syncing data to and from Workplace Desktop clients. This ensures employees are viewing the very latest versions of edited files in near real-time.”
