Scale Computing, the Indianapolis-based provider of hyperconverged solutions for midsize companies, has created the Scale Partner Community (SPC), a newly reimagined channel program. With the advent of the new program, Scale Computing has expanded opportunities beyond midsize organizations to smaller businesses and distributed enterprises, increasing sales opportunities for its partners.
The heart of Scale’s offering is the company’s HC3 hyperconverged platform, which combines storage, servers, virtualization, and management in a single system. With no virtualization software to license and no external storage to buy, HC3 products reduce out-of-pocket costs while simplifying infrastructure.
In addition to having access to Scale’s technology, SPC members receive competitive margins, sales opportunities rather than just leads, marketing support, and the tools to promote the company’s HC3 platform to customers. New program tiers include Referral, Silver, Gold, and invitation-only Platinum. The differences between the Silver and Gold levels involve MDF options, marketing and lead-gen options, not-for-resale kits requirements, quantity of quarterly deal registrations, and the quantity of sales opportunities and certifications, among other elements. In addition, Scale now offers MSP partners recurring services revenue options.
“The focus as we launch this [program] is the recruitment of new channel partners, specifically those serving the needs of midsize, SMB, and distributed enterprise clients,” says Kevin Greenwood, Scale Computing’s senior director, global channels.†”Furthermore, Scale is seeking partners who recognize and want options from the cost and complexity of VMware, and especially the traditional “bolt-on” solution approach so inherent in VMware’s ecosystem that exacerbates management complexity, frustration, and cost.”
