Metalogix, a provider of unified software to migrate, manage, and secure content across enterprise collaboration platforms, has announced†a rebranded and enhanced partner program called Metalogix Advantage Partner Program†(MAPP). A certification and enablement offering designed to help system integrators (SIs) of all sizes to establish a repeatable, de-risked Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365†content migration practice, the new MAPP has three pillars: migration, management, and security, with the initial rollout starting with the first pillar of migration, according to Joe Sullivan,†director of global SIs and cloud alliances for Metalogix, whose U.S. offices are in Washington, D.C.
Sullivan says MAPP builds on the work Metalogix did with Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS), which in 2014 selected Metalogix’s Content Matrix to speed and automate migrations for its customers.
“MCS built a solution on our stack, which is great, but it’s only part of the story. Microsoft Consulting only addresses a small part of the market. We took lessons we learned—how to repackage that as a repeatable process and share it with the best Microsoft partners in the†world. Then they can build on and enhance that.”
A key offering in the program is Metalogix’s Business-in-a-Box, a starter kit that contains all the critical information, training, and content an SI would require to establish and maintain a repeatable and lucrative data migration practice.†Each box contains:
- Access to†Content Matrix†(sales and technical fundamentals) through the†Metalogix Learning Management System
- A sample statement of work
- A sample project plan
- Premigration assessment and analysis tools and guidelines
- Sample code and scripts
Content Matrix simplifies the planning, migration, and management process for SharePoint and Office 365 while enhancing their permissions, auditing, and reporting for assured security and compliance. Content Matrix offers expert pre-migration planning, assures zero downtime with unlimited movement and management, and migrates everything at once, eliminating the need for intermediate SharePoint versions or on-premises staging, according to the company.
The sweet spot for MAPP partners will be organizations with multi-terabytes to migrate, Sullivan says. That would include not just Fortune 1000 companies but also SMB-size companies such as engineering or law firms with significant amounts of content to move to the cloud. The initial target is migration of SharePoint to SharePoint Online, he says.
MAPP is launching at Microsoft’s 2016 Worldwide Partner Conference, with initial launch partners ThreeWill and Xgility. Sullivan says MAPP will be an elite designation for a segment of its partners that can carry out complex migrations. The other two pillars of MAPP, management and security, will roll out in Q3 and Q4, respectively, he says.
In addition to MAPP, other options to leverage†Metalogix solutions†for content migration and management include Metalogix’s†Microsoft-approved†FastTrack for Office 365†solution, available for customers with more than 150 seats and an eligible Office 365 plan; and the joint Metalogix†and†Microsoft Consulting Services†solution for seamless SharePoint migration to Office 365 and SharePoint Online.
