Network cybersecurity vendor Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. has announced two new additions to the Check Point 700 Series Appliances, designed to meet the complex security needs of small and medium-sized businesses. The new Check Point 770 and 790 appliances, together with the 730 and 750 appliances in the series, offer up to 330 Mbps of throughput, while providing threat prevention such as firewall, VPN, antivirus, anti-bot, application control, URL filtering, and email security.
The new 770 and 790 comes pre-loaded with 802.11ac wireless security, allowing users to connect mobile devices on a partitioned Wi-Fi network, which separates employee and guest access. The appliances also feature an intuitive, web-based interface for quick configuration, as well as simplified management and a managed service option that provides additional flexibility for environments without dedicated IT security professionals.
“Given the complexity of today’s security threats, small businesses need a simple solution to address the cybersecurity challenge,” says Gabi Reish, vice president of product management, Check Point. “The new Check Point 700 Series appliances simplify small business security needs while protecting the store network and seamlessly protecting customer data from threats and unnecessary exposure.”
The 770 and 790 appliances are now available. Pricing for the 770 (270 Mbps Threat Prevention) starts at $1299, while the 790 (330 Mbps Threat Prevention) starts at $1999. VDSL connectivity and Power over Ethernet options for the series will be available later this year.
