Lenovo has unveiled a new offering in its Converged HX Series portfolio tailored specifically for small- to-medium sized businesses. The Converged HX 2000 integrates Nutanix Xpress software and is engineered to offer management simplicity, ease of growth, and built-in data protection at an affordable price.
The Nutanix Xpress edition software in HX 2000 Series appliances is designed to replace the complexity of managing a separate storage area network (SAN) by combining compute, storage, and connectivity into a common resource pool within the appliance. The appliances offer a built-in, simple back-up to either Amazon or Microsoft Azure cloud services through Cloud Connect. The Xpress software edition supports multiple hypervisors and comes with the Acropolis hypervisor (AHV). Additionally, the appliances are equipped with next-generation Intel processors, DDR4 memory, and tiered storage.

The HX 2000 Series combines power and reliability in an appliance that helps deliver a streamlined deployment and management process, as well as reduced cost of ownership.”
The Lenovo Converged HX 2000 Series appliances will be available July 2016 through certified Lenovo business partners and by the company’s broader enterprise sales teams.
