Cloud services enablement provider BitTitan has launched the Azure Starter Kit. Available through the company’s end-to-end cloud services enablement platform, MSPComplete, the Azure Starter Kit offers tools and sales education to help partners sell, onboard, and service Microsoft Azure.
The Azure Starter Kit focuses on Azure use cases that address major business challenges among SMBs and enterprises and are easy for partners to sell. Opportunities include the end of life and end of support of SQL Server2008 and SQL Server 2005 in April 2016. SMBs especially lack the resources and expertise to upgrade their databases, says BitTitan, putting their critical data and business applications at risk. By migrating these outdated databases to Azure SQL Databases, IT service providers can save customers money and ensure their databases are always up-to-date going forward.
The Azure Starter Kit includes:
- HealthCheck for Azure enables partners to sell Azure by scanning virtual machines on-premises and identify workloads the customer can move to Azure.
- Database Migration assesses the compatibility of on-premises SQL databases with Azure SQL and then migrates them to the cloud.
- Cloud Storage Migration automates the migration of large amounts of unstructured data to Azure including Amazon AWS blob storage and on-premises file shares.
