BIOSTAR’s New Combo Motherboard Hi-Fi Supports DDR3 and DDR4 RAM

The Hi-Fi Z170Z5 motherboard supports 6th gen Intel socket 1151 Core processors and either DDR3 or DDR4 memory modules.

BIOSTAR has introduced the Hi-Fi Z170Z5, an ATX motherboard based on Intel’s Z170 chipset, a single-chip design that supports Intel 6th generation socket 1151 Intel Core processors. The motherboard includes:

DDR4 or DDR3 Combo Memory – Support of either DDR3 or DDR4 memory modules with 2-DIMM DDR3L-1866(OC)/1600/1333 for up to a 16G maximum capacity and 2-DIMM DDR4-2133/1866 for up to a 32G maximum capacity.
Audio+ – Hi-Fi Technology built inside, delivering Blu-Ray audio, Puro Hi-Fi features an integrated independent audio power design with a built-in amplifier.
Video+ – Supports DirectX 12 which introduces the next version of Direct3D, the graphics API at the heart of DirectX.
Speed+ – PCI-E 3.0 technology provides 2 times the bandwidth of PCI-E 2.0 and allows for up to 1GB/s of bandwidth per lane per direction.
SmartSpeedLAN – A free software application that monitors and manages the PC’s network behavior.
Charger Booster II – Enables users to power up their smart phones and tablets.
BIOS Flasher and BIOS Online Update – For updating and restoration of the BIOS, as well as BIO-Remote2 for remote control of the system via Android and Apple devices.
