At IFA 2015 consumer electronics show in Berlin, Germany, Acer unveiled its renewed Predator gaming line of devices spanning from desktops, notebooks, tablets, monitors, to peripherals. The company also shared its vision for future additions to the Predator family including projectors ideal for bringing along to LAN parties and smartphones optimized for gaming with virtual surround sound and haptic feedback.
The Predator 17 and Predator 15 notebooks feature a 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX980 graphics, up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, enterprise level NVMe PCIe solid state drives, Killer DoubleShot Pro, triple fan design to dissipate heat, a gaming control panel, and up to four built-in speakers and two subwoofers.
The Predator 8 gaming tablet includes an 8-inch FHD display (1920 x 1200), four front-facing speakers and virtual surround sound, an Intel Atom x7 processor, Android 5.1, 2×2 MIMO wireless technology, and TacSense, which provides tactile feedback and real vibrations.
The Predator G6 and G3 desktops feature an armor-covered design on the chassis, while powered by 6th generation Intel Core processors, up to 64GB DDR4 system memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics. The Predator G6 includes “One-Punch Overclocking,” while both desktops feature Acer IceTunnel, an enhanced thermal system which optimizes airflow and brings out internal heat more efficiently.
In addition, the Predator Z35 monitor features NVIDIA G-SYNC and a 35-inch 21:9 UltraWide Full HD (2560×1080) panel with a curvature of 2000R and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz (overclockable to 200Hz) for an immersive, wraparound gaming experience.
