The TechSelect Spring Partner Conference, an event for Tech Data’s premier partner community of IT resellers, kicked off yesterday at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans. The three-day partner conference offers the opportunity for TechSelect community members to engage with their peers and vendor sponsors with the goal to help foster member’s growth and success.
Before a crowd of 400 attenders, Marty Bauerlein, SVP, U.S. sales, Tech Data, opened the general session of the conference thanking the audience for their attendance and introducing some of the TechSelect members and the Tech Data team. Bauerlein stated that there are over 400 partners in the Tech Select community and that it has experienced 11.41 percent year over year growth. He then announced a new partner loyalty program.
Also during the opening session, Frank Vitagliano, VP, Worldwide Channel Strategy Programs, Dell, expressed Dell’s strong partnership with Tech Data and its commitment to the channel as well as how members can capitalize on the alliance.
Wrapping up the first day of the partner conference, Bauerlein had three of the Tech Select Advisory Council members for a forum session to talk more about the Tech Select partner community and the benefits of membership. He also announced that TechSelect is supporting Covenant House New Orleans as its host-city charity.
The conference continues today and will conclude with a finale dinner on April 23 at Mardi Gras World. Some of the sessions offered at the conference include:
