Progress Software Corp. is holding its annual partner and customer conference, Progress Exchange, on October 6 to 8, 2014, at the Hilton Orlando Hotel. The three-day conference is focusing on the latest trends and best practices in application development, platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and data connectivity. Hundreds of Progress customers, partners, executives, product experts, business leaders, technologists, and analysts from around the world are expected to attend.
In addition, the Partner+ conference on October 6, also at the Hilton Orlando, is aimed at helping partners connect and collaborate on business strategy for 2015. At the Progress+ Business Forum, partners will get a chance to hear from industry experts and Progress business and technical executives, as well as subject matter experts in new and existing markets.
The Progress Exchange 2014 conference will feature more than 40 hours of breakout sessions, 10 hands-on workshops, and demonstrations of how customers and partners are using the latest Progress technology. The four tracks are: The Empowered Business, People and Process Optimization, IT Forces Meet Internet, and Rapid Application Development and Data. Sessions topics include developer and business productivity, data management, mobility, and cloud.
In-depth sessions will also focus on using and deploying Progress technologies, including Progress Pacific platform-as-a-service, OpenEdge integrated development environment (IDE), and DataDirect data connectivity platform.
Other highlights include:
- A keynote from Kerry Bailey, senior VP, HP Cloud, Hewlett-Packard Co., on how cloud helps drive innovation and new business applications.
- Progress executives also keynoting sessions are: CEO Phil Pead; CTO John Goodson; Karen Tegan Padir, president, Application Development and Deployment Business Unit; and Jerry Rulli, president, OpenEdge Business Unit.
