Accusoft has signed an agreement with Tech Data Corporation to make Document Viewer for SharePoint available to Tech Data’s channel solution providers in the U.S. through the TDCloud business unit in the company’s Solutions Store.
“We’re excited to be able to deliver our SharePoint viewer through Tech Data’s unparalleled reseller network,” says Jack Berlin, president at Accusoft. “Tech Data’s channels will form an essential bridge between Accusoft, the reseller community and end users seeking to make their SharePoint documents safer and their workplaces more productive.”
With no software required on end-user devices other than an HTML5 browser, Accusoft’s Document Viewer for SharePoint can display hundreds of different file types straight from SharePoint lists, including PDFs, Microsoft Office files, CAD drawings, and many other formats.
The viewer features browser-based collaboration tools, including annotation and redaction, and digital rights management (DRM) controls that enable a SharePoint administrator to enable or disable printing, saving and text copying for users and groups defined in SharePoint. Tightly integrated with SharePoint 2013, the viewer is designed to be installed and configured by an administrator, and provides most functions through SharePoint ribbons and dialog boxes.
“This new partnership will provide our resellers with an effective SharePoint document viewing solution—an essential addition to our Solutions Store,” says Stacy Nethercoat, vice president, product marketing, software, and cloud services at Tech Data. “Accusoft’s solutions offer ease of use and the protection of sensitive information in SharePoint that solution providers and their end-user customers require.”
