Unified communications solutions provider Zultys has released MX Release 9.0 for the MX Unified Communications platform. It has also announced the official release of MXvirtual, a cloud-based unified communications solution for SMBs and managed service providers.
MX Release 9.0
MX Release 9.0 includes a new Microsoft Exchange Communicator, which enables Zultys MX phone systems to integrate via Exchange Web Services with Microsoft Exchange Online, Exchange 2010, and Exchange 2013.
Another much-awaited capability making a debut in MX Release 9.0 is the centralized MXIE Unified Communication client management. System administrators can now manage settings and call handling rules for all users on the MX system. System administrators may also disable the ability to change application settings all together.
Other MX Release 9.0 features include:
- Plantronics wireless headset integration with MXIE softphone to provide Answer/Disconnect control from the headset.
- Enhancements to Zultys’ existing multi-site redundancy capabilities of MXnetwork, including full instant messaging and presence functionality during failover as well as enhanced monitoring and management functions.
- MXoutbound, Zultys’ integrated outbound dialer solution, which now enables automatic upload of contact information simplifying integration with third-party systems.
“The most important aspect of Release 9.0 is that whether deployed in the cloud or at the user’s premise, the experience is identical from both an administrator and a user’s stand points,” explains Zultys chief sales and marketing officer Steve Francis. “With Release 9.0, we provide our channel partners and customers with a flexible system architecture that enables pure cloud, pure premise deployment, or any combination of the two.”
MX Release 9.0 is available to download immediately. Existing customers with a current software subscription are eligible for free access to the upgrade and should contact their Zultys Authorized Channel Partner for further information.
MXvirtual
Zultys’ MXvirtual cloud-based solution is now available to SMBs and managed services providers alongside the premises-based MX250 and MX30 IP phone systems. Release 9.0 is designed to appeal to SMBs looking to move their company infrastructure to the cloud.
MXvirtual brings Zultys’ all-in-one phone system and unified communication architecture to the cloud delivering an enterprise grade Contact Center solution, mobile integration, instant messaging and presence, HD video, advanced call routing, fax server, interactive voice response and more. Customers may combine cloud and premises-based systems for flexibility.
Zultys is a VMware Technology Alliance Partner. Zultys MXvirtual has received VMware Ready approval, and all MXvirtual customers have the option to implement server-level high-availability to eliminate the possibility of system outages.
MXvirtual Pricing
Zultys has also introduced a rental-pricing model for MXvirtual to join the traditional outright purchase option. The rental-pricing model enables Zultys channel partners to offer customers a flexible monthly OPEX solution to their voice and UC needs. Zultys has also announced that it will offer hosting services to its channel partners. Partners may host MXvirtual at their data center on the rental program.
