A new podcast series called Odd Tuesdays debuted yesterday from Karl Palachuk, a book author, blogger, successful managed services provider, and IT industry luminary. The goal of Odd Tuesdays is to further engage Palachuk’s audience of IT solution providers and MSPs and reach a wider audience with best practices and advice on a broad range of managed services subjects. It airs on the first and third Tuesday of each month, with links to the audio found on the Odd Tuesdays’ website.
The first episode of the Odd Tuesdays podcast series featured SMB Nation’s Harry Brelsford, who spoke at length about what this year holds for both his organization and the MSP community.
Brelsford explained that there will be change in 2014, notably the end of Windows XP support, and that he is helping to address the issue through the SMB Nation peer groups that connect customers in need of an upgrade with MSP peer group members. He also highlighted SMB Nation’s Emerging Technology Tour, an event in which Palachuck participates that will take place across the U.S. this year with one “tour stop” each month.
Palachuk has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry. In addition to being a successful MSP himself, he hosted an 11-city road tour for Intel when the company launched its Hybrid Cloud Server with Lenovo; served as a hands-on lab instructor for Microsoft and keynoted at Redmond’s Worldwide Partner Conference; and trained consultants on HP’s products and was involved in the company’s product advisory councils.
