Jabra has expanded the company’s music line with a new portable version of the Jabra Solemate — the Jabra Solemate Mini. The Jabra Solemate Mini boasts “big sound in an ultra-portable sized unit” with its front-facing speakers in an acoustically designed enclosure. The portable mini speaker provides music for any setting whether at home or on the road, and will be available in red, yellow, blue or black. The Jabra Solemate Mini features:
* Durability — All round rubber protection and resistance to sweat, dust, and splashes
* Playback Time — Battery life up to 8 hours
* Pairing — Using Bluetooth or NFC and wirelessly controlled from across the room
* Integrated Cable — Located in the sole of the speaker, providing a choice between a wireless or wired connection
In addition, Jabra announced an enhanced version of the Jabra Solemate, including four new colors (red, blue, yellow, and grey), enhanced Dolby sound performance, instant pairing, and offline streaming. With NFC pairing, users can tap an NFC-enabled device to the Solemate and it connects instantly. To disconnect, just tap them together again.
Another feature of the Soulmate is the Jabra Sound App with Dolby Digital Plus sound. Dolby Digital Plus stereo2 delivers a sound space enhancer “providing amazing extra depth and dimension to the sound emerging from the Solemate.” The Jabra Sound App 2.0 allows streaming of YouTube music videos, as well as, existing on-device stored content while using the offline feature for playback.
The Jabra Solemate Mini and the new Jabra Solemate will be available in October 2013. Jabra Solemate Mini will retail for $99.00, while the enhanced Jabra Solemate will retail for $149.00.
