Edifier’s Predator ain’t got time to bleed. It’s too busy rocking out.
That’s because the 2.1 speaker system has nothing to do with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, or the sci-fi movie classic. However, with this set Edifier has certainly made something out of this world.
Designed for your desktop, the Predator e1100 can handle music, games, and everyday Web business. That creepy alienlike head packs a 5-inch downward-firing subwoofer and two 2-inch, front-facing, full-range drivers, each with a 2-inch passive radiator.
All of those goodies can crank out a total of 20 watts RMS for your desktop. The subwoofer promises frequencies from 20 to 100Hz, with the satellites working magic in the 200Hz to 20kHz range. Other features include an 85dB signal-to-noise ratio, angled satellites for better sound projection, and an auxiliary input for hooking up a computer, a smartphone, and all sorts of other devices.
There’s even a master volume dial that doubles as an on/off switch right on top of the sub, which produces a nice, alienlike glow.
Edifier is selling this eye-catching set now, with an MSRP of $79.99.
