Bluelock Launches Its 4-Series Virtual Datacenter RaaS Offering

The virtual datacenter provider is offering SMBs two types of recovery-as-a-service solutions: one for active cloud customers and one with need for cloud-based recovery.

Public cloud-hosted virtual datacenter provider Bluelock has announced the launch of its recovery-as-a-service (RaaS), the 4-Series Virtual Datacenter. The RaaS offering is designed to enable SMBs to recover IT resources with efficiency.

With SMBs’ increased reliance on technology, the cost of downtime is higher than ever, Bluelock explains in a press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB. “Whether an organization’s concerns are focused on specific types of incidents, such as application corruption, virus, natural disaster, or the need to fulfill a specific service level agreement (SLA) or regulatory requirement, organizations of all sizes are seeking reliable disaster recovery plans,” the company states.

Two RaaS Solutions

Bluelock, a certified VMware vCloud Datacenter provider, now offers SMBs two types of RaaS solutions — an “in-cloud” solution for cloud customers and a “to-cloud” solution for customers needing the ability to recover workloads hosted in their own facilities.

“Achieving and optimizing the appropriate balance between IT disaster recovery capabilities, affordability, and risk mitigation is central to Bluelock’s RaaS solutions,” says Bluelock CTO Pat O’Day. “Bluelock’s 4-Series Virtual Datacenters provide an affordable and effective product for both Bluelock customers and SMBs who want to recover into Bluelock’s proven enterprise-grade cloud environment at a compelling price point.”

Bluelock’s To-Cloud RaaS solution, the VDC 4000, offers SMBs running VMware-virtualized environments the ability to recover data to a Bluelock Virtual Datacenter. Designed for ease-of-management, testing and verification, this RaaS solution provides replication and recovery for production applications.

Bluelock’s In-Cloud RaaS solution, the VDC 4500, is the RaaS offering for Bluelock customers with critical workloads requiring geographically-separated recovery environments. Bluelock has integrated technologies and services that enable a testable and verified disaster recovery implementation. Using replication technology, Bluelock’s solution provides replication of production applications to a second Bluelock datacenter.
