Software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider New Relic Inc. has joined cloud management software developer ScienceLogic in the launch of a new partnership and integration project aimed at extending APM performance data to cloud service providers.
As a new member of the New Relic Connect Partner program, ScienceLogic collects a rich set of application performance data from New Relic’s published RESTful API, enabling streamlined workflow integrations and visibility into the application layer.
ScienceLogic’s management platform is designed to empower SMBs to visualize, automate, and modernize IT operations and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
“New Relic’s performance monitoring complements the ScienceLogic software by providing instant, comprehensive information that is vital to the development and deployment teams responsible for the management of applications running in the cloud and the data center,” states a joint press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.
Integration Benefits
According to New Relic, the integration with ScienceLogic strengthens New Relic’s solution with dynamic discovery, service event history, multi-tenant support, and integrated dashboards.
“New Relic customers will benefit from an integrated end-to-end view of their application stack, such as viewing the underlying storage IOPS, Database resource consumption, and Hypervisor load,” the company states.
Meanwhile, ScienceLogic service provider customers can leverage the increased visibility provided by New Relic to provide multi-tenant views with APM combined with ScienceLogic’s real-time performance, configuration, and fault analytics infrastructure data to empower end users’ rapid response to root cause of End User Performance difficulties.
“We are thrilled to work with New Relic, for APM, to bring the most comprehensive end-to-end cloud application monitoring solution available,” says ScienceLogic co-founder and CEO David Link, “as we focus on the best analytics available to save the most time against issue resolution.”
“By partnering with ScienceLogic, we are bringing our leading solutions together in a way that makes it simple and easy for service providers to combine infrastructure and application performance data into one holistic view” says Bill Lapcevic, New Relic’s vice-president of business development. “This capability allows for the creation of new advanced services and solutions by leveraging our rich application data set with the breadth of underlying monitoring of the cloud infrastructure.”
