These days, you’re expected to take that work wherever you roam, so you’re going to need a laptop that can keep up. However, just because you want a workhorse that doesn’t mean you want to feel like you’re carrying, you know… an actual horse. An ultrabook travels light, making for the perfect companion.
Now, a lot of today’s ultrabooks may seem light on features in exchance for that lightweight form factor. That’s definitely not the case with HP’s EliteBook Folio 9470m. This device is all business, but inside an ultrabook package.
There’s no touchscreen on this one, but you’ll be able to take advantage of all of the other goodies under Windows 8 Pro. (At last peek, the HP website also offered Windows 7 as an option.) Designed to be productive from the airport to the desktop, the 9470m has a 14-inch LED-backlit HD anti-glare display with a 1366-by-768 resolution, as well as the Intel QM77 Express chipset and SRS PRO Audio technology.
At just 0.75-inch thin and about 3.5 pounds, the 9470m also makes a slew of connectivity options standard, including built-in VGA, DisplayPort, Ethernet, and three USB 3.0 ports.
If you’re looking for perks, the 9470m has plenty of other options, such as a 720p webcam, a choice of third-gen Intel processors, up to 16GB of RAM, and either a 500GB hard drive or a 256GB SSD.
HP is selling the EliteBook Folio 9470m now, with a starting price of $1,349.
