Trend Micro Inc. has rolled out a set of expanded MSP capabilities along with enhanced channel programs and certifications.
Enhancements to Trend Micro’s portfolio of cloud security solutions and tools include a self-provisioning licensing management platform and a centralized Web-based management console available for MSP partners. The licensing management platform allows partners to self-provision and auto-renew licenses. The complete solution set provides licensing, monitoring, and reporting across many of the Cupertino, Calif.-based company’s SMB security solutions.
Other features include pay-as-you-go purchase and renewal options in monthly, quarterly, or annual increments, and a portfolio of cloud-based security solutions including email, Web, and desktop security-as-a-service that don’t require any capital expenditures.
Trend Micro is also rolling out an upgraded partner program, set to go live in October. North American partners will get access to a new partner portal and a new training and education program. Also, there will be a greater focus on channel certifications for Trend Micro’s cloud and virtualization security solutions, Trend Micro Worry-Free solutions, and the MSP program. Certifications will be available in the Learning Management System via the partner portal. Partners that complete training and certification will be eligible to receive incremental benefits that can include priority lead pass, preferred listing on the partner locator, bonus payouts via the new incentive program, and special pricing.
