Hardware manufacturer Logitech has a new line of Windows 8 products for SMBs. Available this month, the Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650, Touch Mouse T620, and Zone Touch Mouse T400 are each designed as Windows 8 compatible solutions. †
“This new family of products takes the traditional mouse functionality you’re used to and optimizes it for the navigation experience offered by Windows 8,” says Mike Culver, Logitech’s vice president of brand development for consumer computing platforms. “Our new mice and touchpad replicate the touch-screen experience that you’ve grown accustomed to on smartphones and tablets. With Windows 8 now offering up a similar touch experience, our products give you quick, easy and dynamic access to the core elements of the new interface.”
Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650
The Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 features a large, ultra-smooth glass touch-surface that supports Windows 8 gestures and speeds up navigation among windows.
SMB users can perform the basic point, click, and scroll functions anywhere their fingers rest on the touch surface. They may while also take advantage of Windows 8 gestures, such as edge gestures for app switching, app bar and charms bar activation, pinch-to-zoom, and three-finger swipe for Start Screen return.
The Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650 recharges through USB and has up to one month of battery life on a full charge. It also presents an On/Off switch with a low-battery indicator light.
Touch Mouse T620
For SMB users looking for a mouse with an ultra-sleek design, the Logitech Touch Mouse T620 provides a full touch-surface. Similar to the touchpad, the product provides the freedom to gesture wherever fingers rest.
The Logitech Touch Mouse T620 has a six-month battery life.
Zone Touch Mouse T400
The Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 enables SMB users to access popular elements of the operating system. It features a glass touch-surface that is designed for smooth horizontal and vertical scrolling with fingers. Users can click anywhere on the front of the touch zone to go directly to the Windows 8 Start Screen.
The Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 has an 18-month battery life, and also features an On/Off switch and a low battery indicator light.
Pricing and Availability
The Logitech Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad T650, Logitech Touch Mouse T620 and Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 are expected to be available beginning in October 2012. They will carry a suggested retail price of $79.99, $69.99 and $49.99, respectively.
