Santa Ana, Calif.-based Ingram Micro Inc. has welcomed more than 200 system integrators, technology resellers, and manufacturers to its 2012 Fall System ArchiTECHS Invitational. The three-day event—being held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel from October 7 to 9—offers a networking and education venue for channel partners who offer custom IT solutions for SMBs.
The event also places heavy emphasis on adjacent and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, convergence, managed services, mobile and digital signage, as well as other, more advanced technology areas including infrastructure-as-a-service, security, and high-performance computing.
“Given their roots in system building and integration services, members of our System ArchiTECHS community are well positioned to address the growing demand for customized IT services and solutions,” says Ryan Grant, event host and senior director, Document Imaging and Components Business Units, Ingram Micro U.S. “We’ve designed this event with partner enablement in mind, and put together a high-impact agenda that will build on our members’ successes and help them to gain a better understanding of the market drivers, resources and business opportunities that lie ahead.”
Attendees will hear from a variety of business and industry leaders throughout the Invitational including Ingram Micro’s Tim Ament, vice president and general manager, Ingram Micro Direct and Consumer Markets U.S.; as well as Lawrence M. Walsh, president and CEO of The 2112 Group and David Allen, North American distribution sales manager for Intel.
Motivational speaker Peter Vidmar, an Olympic gold medal winner and former gymnast, will seek to inspire attendees with his thoughts on the importance of taking calculated risks and continually innovating in order to bring products and services to new levels of performance.
Additionally, Paul Dippell, CEO of Service Leadership, will present the results of a recent benchmark study surrounding best-in-class financial performance of the System ArchiTECHS community. Paul Seed, CEO of Startech.com, is also set to deliver a keynote that promises to provide valuable insight into how solution providers can develop a strong brand without overextending themselves.
Keeping with Ingram Micro’s commitment to give back to the communities it visits, the Fall 2012 System ArchiTECHS Invitational will also host a charity event and silent auction benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater New Orleans.
The 2012 Ingram Micro System ArchiTECHS Twitter hashtag is #IMSAC. Activity from the event will be posted on the community Facebook page.
