Infortrend, a networked storage vendor, has launched two NAS server lines for SMBs. The EonNAS Pro and EonNAS 1000 Series offer advanced data protection features, including deduplication, ZFS checksum, snapshot, and pool mirror, to customers in the SOHO and SMB markets.
The two new series include comprehensive protocol support to enable users to serve file-based and block-based applications with a single device and achieve easy file sharing among workstations, regardless of OS.
Features include:
- Data deduplication with a storage space savings of up to 90 percent
- Resource utilization enhanced by thin provisioning and data compression
- ZFS file system with a hierarchical checksum mechanism
- Data protection from snapshots, remote replication, and pool mirror function
- Various data backup options, including third-party backup software support or external disk drives via USB or eSATA connections
- Performance in each network protocol of more than 100MB/s, and 180MB/s in FTP environments
