Eaton, an industrial manufacturer, has released the latest version of its Intelligent Power Manager software with new disaster data recovery and planned migration capabilities within VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager.
The update provides automatic virtual machine synchronization and initiation of a backup site, or recovery failover, to avoid data loss and reduce downtime during power outages. According to the company, Eaton is the first power management company to offer these features within the VMware platform and achieve VMware Ready certification.
The Intelligent Power Manager software can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange. With the Intelligent Power Manager, users can keep critical workloads operation and prevent data corruption during power outages. IT managers can view, monitor, and administer physical and virtual servers, uninterruptible power systems, power distribution units, and other power devices.
