Corsair, a components provider, has launched the Force Series GS solid-state drives (SSDs). The new SSDs offer the fastest overall performance in Corsair’s SandForce portfolio and will ship in capacities of 180GB and more.
The Force Series GS SSDs are based on the SandForce SF-2200 SSD Processor and add toggle NAND flash memory to boost random write speeds up to 90,000 IOPs. The new series feature SATA 6GB/s connectivity, TRIM support, 2.5″ form factor and 3.5″ adapter. The Force Series GS SSDs are available in capacities of 180GB ($189.99), 240GB ($239.99), 360GB ($349.99), and 480GB ($489.99).
