ForeScout Technologies, an automated security provider, has launched ForeScout Mobile, a set of plug-in modules to enable Android and iOS security management, as well as mobile device management (MDM) integration. Combining ForeScout Mobile with ForeScout CounterACT, the company’s network access control (NAC) platform, security channel pros can use a single console to gain visibility into managed and unmanaged mobile and PC devices.
ForeScout Mobile delivers a unified approach for NAC, BYOD, and MDM, enabling endpoint intelligence, security assessment, and enforcement options for mobile devices. ForeScout CounterACT identifies mobile devices, forces unknown users to register, and can automatically allow, deny, or restrict access to specified network resources or wireless access points from a single appliance (either physical or virtual). With ForeScout Mobile and CounterACT, users have mobile device-specific security options and MDM integration.
ForeScout Mobile Security Module provides extensive information about the device, giving CounterACT the ability to enforce more granular network access and endpoint integrity policies for mobile devices. ForeScout Mobile MDM Module consolidates information about all endpoints on the network into the CounterACT platform. By merging NAC and MDM security functions, there is no longer a need to use an MDM console.
ForeScout Mobile is licensed by the number of mobile devices starting at $2,800 for 100 devices. For more information, visit http://www.forescout.com or visit the ForeScout booth at the upcoming RSA 2012 in San Francisco, February 27 to March 2.
