HP has launched the HP UPS Network Module, which enables businesses of all sizes to remotely monitor, diagnose, and manage uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and attached devices. The new HP UPS Network Module supports either a single UPS configuration or provides additional power protection with support for dual, redundant UPS configuration, facilitating a no-single-point-of-failure environment.
The HP UPS Network Module can be set up to send email notifications or alert traps to any SNMP management program. The network module can also be used as a standalone management system. Ideal for customers who need to perform scheduled shut downs of attached equipment, the embedded management software facilitates daily maintenance tasks with detailed system logs.
The module’s features include:
- Management of independent UPS load segments to provide separate power control of connected equipment
- Prioritizing of the timing of equipment shutdown, and can reboot connected equipment by load segment
- Delaying of restart by load segment after a power outage to sequence the start up of system components
- Can shut down and reboot the UPS and attached equipment, based on a schedule set by the user
Available through HP and HP partners, the HP UPS Network Module is available immediately. Pricing starts at $249, and additional information can be found at www.hp.com/go/infrastructure.
