Industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp. has launched a new uninterruptible power system (UPS) for SMBs.
The Eaton 9E UPS is designed as an energy-efficient backup power device with a “sleek compact tower configuration that delivers power protection for expanding loads in space-constrained data centers,” the manufacturer states in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.
The 9E is integrated with Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager software and operates at 98 percent efficiency, according to the company. The Intelligent Power Manager software enables simple monitoring and management of multiple power devices across a network.
In addition to a small form factor and integrated management software, the 9E is also Eaton’s first UPS to offer internal batteries up to 60 kVA.
“The 9E UPS was created to help IT managers, whether in a small data center or complex IT environment, address typical data center problems head on,” says Louis Pinkham, Eaton’s vice president and general manager of critical power solutions. “The 9E provides a simple solution for common data center concerns, like return on investment, energy costs, remote management, and efficiency, so the user has more time to focus on other mission critical operations.”
The 9E is accompanied by best-in-class service and one-year parts and labor warranty with startup.
